Description

Beta’s XTrainer gets an updated look, while maintaining the recent “Total Grey” design, and enhancing the vibrancy of the most cross-cutting Enduro motorcycle in the made in Rignano sull’Arno range with a new design. The XTrainer provides riders with a unique bundle for technical equipment, performance, ergonomic and design, and in this year’s new Model, it boasts a completely new 250 2Str engine, inheriting the recent technical solutions employed in the XPRO, updated to adapt to its milder nature.

Thanks to unique characteristics such as first-rate engine docility and great rideability, the XTrainer responds perfectly to the needs of all riders who seek a high-performance bike that is, above all, easy-riding and practical, allowing the rider to easily deal with any situation. Inspired by trials riding, the XTrainer can adapt to a broad range of situations with disarming ease. Whether you are an amateur looking for your first bike, a skilled Enduro rider seeking something less tiring and challenging, or an expert biker who wants an extreme Enduro companion, the XTrainer is the ideal solution.

Lower to the ground than RR models with a narrow mid-section and full-bodied delivery that is easily managed from low to high rpm, XTrainer has the power it needs to hold the racing line, but favours slightly slower and more technical routes where it can exploit its trials-inspired vocation, as well as the torque of its Beta 250 or 300 two-stroke engine.

Here is a summary of the model’s characteristics:

• Limited weight: an extremely agile and intuitive bike, even for novices, it facilitates standstill manoeuvres and reduces the energy required to manage it. This enhances the riding pleasure;

• Seat height: reduced by 20mm compared to the RR range, to transmit greater safety in every situation;

• Brakes: Nissin, with discs measuring 260mm at the front and 240mm at the rear;

• Battery: lightweight, high-performance lithium battery;

• Fork and Single Shock: R16V with 43mm stanchions at the front and progressive leverage at the rear. The suspension can be fully customised, the fork offering adjustable spring pre-load and rebound, and the single shock is adjustable in terms of its spring pre-load, compression and rebound;

• Delivery: honest, linear, full-bodied and powerful – the perfect mix to have fun everywhere; Beta Progressive Valve: the Beta Progressive exhaust valve can be adjusted by the rider from an easy external adjuster, allowing engine performance to be effectively adapted to suit every kind of usage;

• Map switch device with handlebar button

• Tank: 8.8 lt transparent tank

• Automatic mixer: located beneath the saddle (which is easily opened at the touch of a button), it does away with the need for the oil-fuel premix;

• Soft tyres: their soft compound and aggressive design guarantee grip in every situation, the rider benefiting from responses that are less twitchy with respect to a tyre with a stiffer carcass;

• Cooling fan: although the two-stroke engine offers excellent thermal equilibrium, the fan is mounted as standard on XTrainer, to ensure the engine always maintains the ideal running temperature, even on slower routes;

• Electric starter: precise and reliable, essential when restarting the bike in tricky situations;

• Engine and clutch: derived from the RR, engine delivery is sufficiently tempered to suit the characteristics of XTrainer, with many important news this year.

On the My26, Betamotor engineers introduced a set of aesthetic and functional updates.

Specifically:

• Graphics: the plastic part maintain their beloved Grey colour, updated with modern and vibrant graphics, and contemporary white finishes that stand out and embrace its shape;

• Tail light: XTrainer gets a new LED tail light, more modern and sturdier than the previous model, perfectly blending in with the motorcycle’s pattern;

• Tachograph: the Model Year 26 is equipped with a new tool, which, although providing the same kind of information to the rider, is larger, more readable and more robust, totackle even the heaviest use;

 • 250 2Str engine: the 250cc engine was subjected to a series of structural updates to make its behaviour more similar to its big sister, the 300cc. This was achieved by employing a crankshaft with a reduced stroke (which is now the same on the 250 and the 300cc), with a consequent increased bore compared to the previous model. The new engine is completed by an updated head with a different combustion chamber and a new cylinder with modified transfer port geometry. Following these updates, the torque and linear power delivery were significantly increased, without affecting too much the overall performances, making it enjoyable in the Enduro range, and positively enhancing also the motorbike handling, with centralized weight and lowered centre of gravity. Plus, the crankcase houses larger and sturdier bearings.

• Gear: the second gear was significantly updated to extend it. This has increased the smoothness when switching to the third gear, with enhanced riding comfort and vehicle stability during and after the gear change (this update was made on both the 250 and the 300 2Str).
